The central, single-story portion of this 14,000 SF bank head office building was originally a freestanding structure built as a community bank in the 1960's. It was decided to retain and extensively remodel the original building and to add a two-story structure at each end to accommodate the additional office functions necessary to make this a state-of-the-art banking head office. The central portion still functions as a bank, however, there is now an elevated walkway spanning the bank lobby and which connects the new second floor office additions. The new facility incorporates drive-through windows as well as a walkup ATM and the executive offices and board room, etc. are located on the second floor. Elevators make the building fully handicap accessible. Brick was the exterior choice of finish; this in the form of a thin-brick veneer over steel studs and structural steel framing. Factory finished standing seam metal roofing was selected as the roofing finish for all sloped roofs. |
