The client wanted a sun-filled room adja-cent to the existing family room that would act as a transition from the garden into the house itself. A west facing wall was chosen and openings into the new room made to each side of the fireplace. The fire-place was modified to a see-through type. Mat-erials were selected to match existing |
Above: A computer generated virtual model clearly shows the client the final appearance of the addition before the costly Construction Drawing phase is started - at this point it is still relatively easy to make changes. Here the new roofline and ridge match existing, also half-timbering was added to the new walls to avoid having to match old, discontinued vinyl siding. |
