Set amongst vineyards on the gently rolling hills surrounding beautiful Seneca Lake in upstate New York, this home was originally a farmhouse built around 1840. The house was in dire need of attention and was carefully restored to its original grandeur. The upgrade to meet current building codes meant that the house was virtually gutted and then started anew. To maximize on the view the dining room, kitchen, family room and master bedroom were all located in a new addition. |

Above: Although the porch was original to the house many of the columns were badly deteriorated and needed to be replaced. Much of the guardrail also had to be rebuilt.
Above: The windows to the master bedroom and an adjacent sitting area can be seen above the porch roof. |
